April 2025: Irish Setter

We are expecting!

We are delighted to announce that our gorgeous girl, Paduan Golden Girl (Dorothy) is expecting a litter of puppies on or around 2nd May 2025. All puppies will be fully health checked and KC registered.

We would be delighted to talk to you if you are seeking an Irish Setter puppy as a companion or, additionally, for those seeking to enjoy competing at dog shows with their dog. Mum has the most delightful temperament, Crufts-qualfied every year so far, and is the proud possessor of a 2nd place Crufts rosette from 2022 (and was shortlisted in her large class of yearling dogs at Crufts 2023) and the Sire is a stunning show champion.

We don't take deposits until potential owners have had the chance to come and meet us and the puppies in person once they're a minimum of three weeks old. We will want to talk to you extensively about your experience with dogs, any relevant setter experience, your household, surroundings, other pets, etc.

The pedigree of the puppies is as follows:

Dam: Paduan Sunny Disposition (shown her in head study and baby puppy pictures as well as among her siblings with her mum in the whelping box)

Sire: Sh Ch Suteresett King of Hearts JW (shown here sitting)

Both parents are hip scored, hereditarily free of CLAD, PRA rcd1 and PRA rcd 4. Mum has a clear (unaffected) BVA/KC/ISDS eye scheme test result.

We welcome all enquiries and provide unlimited backup and support for the lifetime of the puppy. There's no such thing as a silly question so feel free to ask us anything you like. The full Pedigree of the litter is available on demand or may be looked up online at https://irishsetterpedigrees.co.uk/ or using the tools available on the Royal Kennel Club website.

How we do things:

All puppies leave with a full puppy pack, consisting of bedding with the litter and mum's comforting scent on it, a sacrificial towel with the same scents for travelling home with, a full week's supply of food, a copy of the pedigree details and full care instructions, including health and worming history. Puppies receive a veterinary check with individual certification, and they also have their microchip implanted at the same time at around 7 weeks of age. We can also vaccinate as required in consultation with you to make sure your vets use the same products as ours do. For your and your pup's security, we ensure the microchip and Kennel Club registrations are updated on the same day you collect your bundle of fun. We will talk through with you and explain our health recommendations.

We also provide unconditional lifetime advice and support for you and your puppy - or indeed any other dog in your care - day or night. Once you bring your puppy home you will be invited to join our private Facebook community of Paduan Setter families, where you can chat to others about your experiences and share in the adventures of your pup's siblings and cousins, and even arrange get-togethers if you're nearby.

As you would expect, we have a puppy adoption contract, and we will talk you through all of it before you visit. We do not export dogs out of the UK. We will probably want to chat with you at length before you come and visit, so when calling, make sure you have a cup of tea handy, as we're very talkative!

Litter pictures and videos are posted regularly on our main public Facebook page and for those who reserve, you will have 24/7 access to our online puppy cam, so you can check in any time you like - many have told us they have loved watching the babies sleeping in the middle of the night.
